Aunt Ruby's German Green

The tomatoes that remain green when ripe taste remarkably similar to the other colors, except for a certain spicy note that's hard to describe.  Around here, these form an amber blush which makes it easier to tell when ripe, but like all tomatoes it's best to test for firmness as well.  Don't eat it before it softens or you'll miss out on the great flavor!  This is another of my favorites.
