Alberto Shatters

Currant type small tomato with the unusual trait of shattering (releasing from the vine) on its own or when the plant is shaken. Developed in an attempt to produce a currant tomato that is easier to harvest. In our tests fruit didn’t always shake free, and it was apparent that some sort of cloth or container needed to be placed under the plant to catch the falling fruit that spontaneously fell.
